1Passwrd: Roboform for OS X!

I knew if I kept my eyes open something would come along. Whenever possible, I want to use the browser on the OS X side. One thing that kept sending me back to XP was my passwords. I’ve been using Roboform for 3+ years and it’s like when have someone on speed dial and you don’t know their number, there are many sites that I have passwords I couldn’t possibly remember because I just click the button in Roboform. Firefox and Safari can remember passwords as you go, but it’s not nearly as powerful as Roboform, which also securely remembers credit card numbers and multiple logins per site.

This afternoon I found 1Passwrd. It’s not Roboform, but it’s very similar…and it imports Roboform passcards! It works with all the Mac browsers and NetNewsWire. It’s secure. Much cleaner interface as compared to Roboform, much easier to pull up a password without having to load it in the browser, and it doesn’t have to load at startup the way Roboform does. I’m sold.

  2. Wow Judi – first Studiometry and now 1Passwd.

I keep a closer eye on your blog than many of the Mac sites to find out useful applications that help me as a freelance designer (and occasional competition enterer!). Thank you so much!

    All the best
