I admit it. I’m really surprised. When I read yesterday that Dell was recalling nearly 3 million laptop batteries and my model machine (Dell Inspiron 9300) was in the mix sold to me in the right window of time (between April 1, 2004 and July 18, 2006), I was sure that I’d be calling Dell to send back my battery.
But nope, I’m in the clear. This time. I shut down my laptop and popped out the battery only to find that my battery doesn’t have the identifying white sticker at all. There is a sticker that looks similar inside the battery case but not on the battery itself. The sequence in the bar code on mine is C5668 and it’s not on the list! Phew.

We’re not sending ours back either. I figured we would since we’re having battery issues I was actually kind of hopeful but nope.
Oh well.
