This is a pretty big deal for folks who don’t have access to VOIP. I just placed a short phone call to my Mom and while the sound quality wasn’t as good as it is on Vonage (never thought I’d say that), it wasn’t terrible. Since I have Vonage I have no need to use this at home (except as backup in case my phone adapter goes on the fritz), but I can definitely see using it when traveling rather than using up cell phone minutes.
