The new president on “The West Wing” will be a real short-timer: NBC announced Sunday it was pulling the plug on the Emmy-winning political drama in May after seven seasons.
Bummer. I’ve actually been enjoying the show this season.
I guess this means Vinick will win the election, or at least that it’s possible. I couldn’t see The West Wing going on with a Republican President, even a pro-choice moderate. The writing is too liberal-leaning. I picture the final shot being Bartlett hopping his final ride on Air Force One after the inauguration of the new Prez.
My wish: A spin-off series starring my favorite West Wing character, Will Bailey. I love Josh Malina. His expanded role this season is a huge reason why the show has been watchable for me.
