Hmm…this is interesting. Here’s a Firefox plugin from Performancing that gives you a little blog editor panel at the bottom of your browser window. I’m not sorry I bought BlogJet, as it has more features but this looks pretty good for quick posts. Great start, and certainly makes one of the big selling points of Flock irrelevant.
Nice feature is that you can save notes to either reference or blog later. Like a local draft, without the standalone client bulk.
I don’t want all the bells & whistles of a standalone client in this little utility for quick posts…but spellcheck would be nice. 🙂
Oh, I should note that this is only for [Firefox 1.5](http://www.mozilla.com/firefox). Earlier versions need not apply. Here’s a screenshot of it in action:

Thanks for the tip! I don’t have the habit of checking for new extensions, so I appreciate when you point out the good ones.
A tip for anyone viewing this post in a reader that uses IE as it’s embedded browser, the provided link doesn’t work in IE. You need to open it in Firefox to view the info and download the extension.
Need spellchecking? The latest development build of SpellBound integrates seamlessly with this blogging tool.
