This isn't going to end well

You know when you get that feeling? I shouldn’t have blogged about how smoothly it was going.

[Bob’s Furniture]( called about 30 minutes ago to tell me that the driver was stuck in traffic. Would be a little while longer. I know that the NJ Turnpike can be an adventure, so that’s fine. A few minutes ago the driver called me. He wants to know how to get to my house from Route 1/Exit 9 on the Turnpike. He explains that since it’s a Connecticut company, they don’t know how to get around New Jersey. He then tells me that they don’t have a map in the truck. Hello? How can you send a driver to a state they’ve never been with an address and no directions?

  1. Haha wow.

I used to deliver pizza and I never used maps either… an address and a good sense of direction will help you find where you need to go.

But that only applies if you’re already in the right city. =)

    Good luck!

  2. Judi Sohn says:

They finally got here at around 3:15 pm.

  3. Wow, one would think that in this day and age, that most people (especially in the delivery and dispatch businesses) would be familiar with MapQuest.

I was never really a big fan of Bob’s. I visited their Hope Street showroom once, to be ignored until I approached the front desk for help. Plus, recently I’ve been finding great deals at Jennifer Convertibles. Now, if I could only settle on a selection…
