a great lighting store

I *highly* recommend Marle Lighting, 35 Larkin Street in Stamford, CT. Particularly sales person Bill Esposito. The other day “I mentioned”:http://www.momathome.com/viewfromhome/archives/000221.html that I was having second thoughts about the master bedroom lighting fixture. I went to the store today, fully expecting to be told that I was S.O.L. since their policy on floor model returns is clearly posted and I can read. I didn’t even ask if they could take the old one back. Well, Bill said, “Don’t worry about it…go find something else you like and I’ll take care of it.” I found a fixture that I liked better (about $60 cheaper than the old one, no less) and tomorrow they’re going to deliver the new fixture, plus two bathroom lights that were on order and just came in, and they’ll pick up the one I don’t want and credit me the difference. He told me that they don’t normally do this, but considering the fact that I spent about $3,000 in their store (every new light in the house is coming from them) they’re more than happy to accommodate me. Is that cool, or what? :-)

BTW, “here”:http://dbadmin.seagulllighting.com/SeaGullLighting/SiteCatalog.cfm?StoryID=687&TemplateDisplayMode=2&SetEstablishment=W0&ProductDetailCategoryCode=2 is the light fixture I ordered instead. So much better than the old one, and even better it takes 3 100W bulbs (instead of the usual 60w) so Eric shouldn’t be complaining too much when he wants to sit and read something in bed.
